The East Valley has long been considered a hotspot for Arizonans seeking entertainment and great dining. In a story recently published by ‘Conde Nast Traveler,’ “Scottsdale and East Valley, Arizona” was listed as top destinations for domestic travel in the new year, with three stand-out restaurants named as the main draws.
Espiritu, a Mexican seafood restaurant and cocktail bar in Mesa, was said to be “helping to evolve the Mexican food scene in the U.S. by pairing top-notch mariscos dishes and a meticulously illustrated menu of progressive cocktails” according to writer Chris Malloy. Espiritu also recently was named one of the best new restaurants in the U.S. by Eater.
Two Chandler restaurants also made the list. Thaily’s, a unique Cambodian and Iraqi fusion restaurant, as well as Feringhee Modern Indian Cuisine were pointed to as examples of the area’s rich food scene.
The article also noted appreciation for metro Phoenix’s beautiful desert landscapes, the exciting nightlife in Scottsdale and two upcoming luxury hotels that are both expected to transform the tourism landscape next year.
