Afro-colonial tradition, its colourful costumes and traditions stood out Saturday on the fifth Congo Pollera Competition held in Portobelo, within the province of ColOn, highlighting the vacationer attraction of this city within the Panamanian Caribbean.

The occasion, which highlights the position of black girls within the preservation and strengthening of Congolese tradition, because the time of slavery, introduced collectively some 12 Congo teams from Colon invited to this pageant that takes place each two years. EFE
